“We’ll leave the Light on for YA!”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 8:50 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cold, calm, starry island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Monday morning, the nineteenth day of December, 2011, a cold, clear, wintry day here in New England, on the east coast of North America, where the season fits the decor–red bows, lights and the occasional red nosed reindeer gracing these shores once again on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age…  It is a new week, a brave new week as it were, as one of the world’s most notorious dictators of late, Kim Jong il of North Korea, passed away on Saturday night.  North Korea as a nation, is a throwback to the World War II era, being literally cut off from the rest of the world, as millions of people in the 1990’s starved to death, while the flamboyant and sometimes mocked former dictator built up his nuclear arsenal, providing help to Syria to do the same, as well as Pakistan, whom the U.S. already has waning support.  His successor, his son, Kim Jong Un, now ‘in charge’, is young and has no experience being in power, thus, the uncertainty in the region, such as in South Korea, Japan and China, with all Asian markets falling sharply at this seven a.m. hour, EDT, as well as around the world.  Since the days of the Cuban Missile crisis, 13 horrible days in October of 1962, with Jack Kennedy, one of our finest President’s, confronting this ‘war of the worlds’, by way of nuclear annihilation, head on, stopping the then Soviet empire, Russia now, from sending missiles and their nuclear war heads to Cuba, an island nation that sits only 90 miles off the coast of Florida.  He was successful, along with his brother Bobby, Attorney General at the time, in saving this planet from all out nuclear obliteration. This was an uneasy time to say the least for this nation, bringing full circle what is truly important as we ease on into this week of continued swings up and down for republican candidates vying to unseat the current President, Barack Obama, who is head and antlers above anyone running against him today, tomorrow, and on November the second, 2012, for it will be on that day, he will be elected to his second term and become the 45th President of these here United States, for to do anything stupid, like to vote for someone who DOES NOT have your BEST INTERESTS in mind, is, by definition, masochistic best and downright crazy (unless one has a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome, see Keystone XL Pipelines/Republican party/energy corporations  for more details) at worst, proving once again that racism is ‘a hell of a drug’ (credit Rick James)…  Have a nice week ahead folks, dodging those wooden nickles offered up by FOX ‘NEWS’, for they ‘ain’t sellin’ any alibis, as you stare into the empty vacuum of Bill O’Reilly’s beady, little, bloodshot eyes…’PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
