Just a few minutes ago, I witnessed a white, unmarked jet being pulled into a hanger at Burbank International Airport and out of that plane emerged Euna Lee and Laura Ling, the two American journalists who were being held by the North Korean government for spying for the United States of America. Following a beautiful reunion with her daughter, Ms. Lee picked up the little girl and participated in a group hug with her husband, President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore and Ms. Ling that proved to be a moment in history that no one, no cynic can take away. The brief statement by Ms. Ling was eloquent and humble, with thanks to so many who made their release possible. I have, as we all have, seen so much tragedy in the past 8 years, with young souls sent off to wars that had nothing to do with our freedom, and it is so heartening to witness GOOD NEWS for even a moment in a world that seems to have forgotten what it is to live in peace and harmony. My blessings go out to these courageous women, the leaders who orchestrated their release and the Obama administration who never, ever gave up on doing what is RIGHT. God Bless the United States of America and the goodness that still remains intact. Peace M
