Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, cool, gorgeous island of Nantucket! Great to be back with you on a Tuesday morning, the twenty-fourth day of April, 2012, a spectacular day on Cape after a two inch soak yesterday left the flowers, trees and woodland creatures of this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age smiling and satisfied, as southern New England has been in drought for most of this year thus far… What happened while I was sleeping? Not much? Good. I did not want to talk about politics today anyhow, because WE all know Mitt Romney would do such a better job as President of the United States than our very fine current President in Barack Obama. I must say, it is far easier to be on the side of the corporate milieu, while doing their bidding, than to be on the true side of the American people, and so it will go for the next seven months or so; the way, way, way far to the right of your grandfather’s GOP continuing to pour out the propaganda, trying to convince independents who will determine the results of this pivotal election that they, crazies like Grover Norquist and the like, are the only ‘hope’ for America’s future. Begging the question, what America and what future?? Ah yes, Paris in springtime, I remember…. I too have been to Paris, in fact, I attended high school in London and took frequent trips, “ISST” tournaments, or ‘international school sports tournaments’, to that city of LIGHTS and I must agree with ‘ole Mitt on this one–France is perhaps one of the most beautiful places on all of planet earth, especially the gardens, and after Mitt loses the election on November the sixth of this year, he can really go back to his roots as a Mormon missionary, spreading the good word of the Lord to all who may listen, speaking to what Jesus himself considered the greatest ’suggestion’ of all–namely doing to others as you would have done to you, the real golden rule. For, “…what you do to the least of me, you do UNTO ME”, and I am not really sure how this Christian nation of billionaire plutocrats squares that with his or her maker in the end. There must be some kind of loophole or something, I didn’t get the memo. Have a nice day folks and week ahead, remembering the power of nature and the awesome beauty inherent within.
