“Try to find me”
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, cool, mystical, soon to be wind/snow driven island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this cold and clear day in Hyannis Port; looking ‘above deck’ one can SEA the beautiful vantage point enjoyed from the Hyannis Port Yacht Club (“…of which I can guarantee you’ll never be a member of!”, credit: the late, great Ted Knight (a.k.a., “Judge Smails”), a scene from the must revisit classic spoof on country clubs/those with a little more than they really need…, everywhere, “Caddyshack”, circa 1980, an auspicious year in the area of world domination, I mean world politics, a shift if you will…), top of the morning to you!
When one takes to ‘time’ to Love unconditionally, it unlocks some kind of door that, if one walks through said door, transcends and shockingly changes one forever, never to be the same again…
“Oh, we don’t want any of that, now do we?”
Many, many moons ago, Graham Nash, of “Crosby, Stills & Nash” fame (real musicians with a message!); wrote a song about a little girl with Cerebral Palsy. Graham witnessed two children in wheel chairs sitting side by side. The little girl was crying at a ‘Bridge Concert’–supporting Neil Young & Peggy Morton’s school for kids with Cerebral Palsy)–the little boy noticed this pain and suffering and with all his determination and might within his damaged and pained hands, he reached out to grab that little girl’s hand to offer nothing more than love and the assurance that she was not, nor ever will be, alone, drying the tears, easing her pain, thus stopping her from crying… And as Graham said, this song was born…
Have a nice day!
“Try to Find Me”
“I’m in here…with a lonely life but maybe you can see me…,
but I’m in here, with my mind on fire!
Do your best and try to find me.
Underneath there’s a lovely life that screams for daylight…,
oh, through my eyes, I can see for sure…, and my soul shines on, so try to find me.
‘Cause I’m trapped in the web of the dark night…,
won’t you please be my bridge into daylight?
So when I know that I’m loved, I am alright…,
So try to find me…
try.
La, la, la, na, na, na…
Try to find me
‘Cause I’m trapped in the web of the dark night,
Won’t you please be my bridge into daylight?
Because I know when I’m loved, I’m alright…,
Alright.
alright…
So try to find me.
Oh hear my heart, it the same as yours, but it beats with a distant thunder.
Oh I’m still in here, with my heart so pure…,
I can say no more…,
won’t you unlock my door?
And try to find me?“
