Trees of Cape Cod

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 9:31 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rainy, foggy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday morning, the seventeenth day of February, 2012, a mild day with drier conditions at this seven a.m. hour, with the forecast for the week end on the sunny side of the rain storm that will hit D.C. south, missing the northeast altogether, and as I listen to the Cardinal singing outside of my window, looking out onto Cotuit Bay, yes sir, Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, knowing a mating call when I hear one, I suppose the birds who ‘think’ it is Spring will make it through, should we have a cold blast forcing them back into the thicket, for you sea, global warming effects every living creature, both “great and small”–(credit the great author James Herriot who penned a world renown trilogy, based on that country Veterinarian’s life and experience with his patients, beginning with the famous book, “All Things Great and Small”)–not just the poor, the disenfranchised, or those elite, hippy, liberal, filthy bastards clogging up the Internet with all of their FACTS and morality based on the God WE worship… I suppose when the seas do rise, they might begin to take notice, and somehow blame it on those subway riding, one bedroom apartment, always elite, Starbucks drinkin’, fancy book learnin’, intellectual drive by liberal media types who think they know it all, when we, here in the land of plutocratic plundering, WE know better, truly know what ‘the American people’ (credit Mitch, “our number one goal is to defeat President Barack Obama”, McConnell, R-KY) need, they need to wake up and realize there is no free lunch, and this will be good for them, as they sit back and wonder what could have been if they would have been born into a wealthy family, one whose ‘values’ are not necessarily on par with the founder of Christianity, Jesus himself, but hey, we’re only human right? Or is that a corporation? I always get that confused, yes, we, at the plutocratic GOP, again, ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, will rise above this mediocre mass of people wanting us to continue with the welfare state and plunge them all into the depths of hell that was the Bush/Cheney administration, an administration that put every single man, woman and child in this country into deep, deep, debt, a debt so deep that we are only now beginning, thanks to Obama, to come out of.  As you can see from the image above you, we are cruising at 35,000 feet, no, not really, we are in Truro, at the edge of Cape Cod, where the trees are not only slightly “better” than the right height, but far superior to the trees in the great state of Michigan, a place that was ‘home’ to me as well, I was married there, and thus, am only kidding when I say our trees on Cape Cod are ‘better’ than the trees in Michigan.  Heck, I think they are ALL great, in fact, I think they are so great they deserve to be PRESERVED! What are your thoughts on that Hobson? (credit the late, very great Dudley Moore, and of course, the equally great Sir John Gielgud, of the classic 1981 film, “Arthur”, a must see for anyone who may still have a heart to go along with all of that filthy money you have stuffed in a Swiss Bank account, for money you have Mitt, but, the American people want to sea a heart behind that “man behind the curtain”.   Have a nice week end folks, steering clear of the wooden nickles offered up by FOX “NEWS”, although, I must say, Megan Kelly does not offer up as many of those worthless nickels of ‘wisdom’, ‘knowledge’ and ‘empirical fact’, actually making sense in an interview with a member of congress who was not on ‘their’ side of the aisle, there is still hope.  “I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs”.  James Herriot   PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
