Tree Huggin’ Liberal

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 1:37 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the great island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Friday, high noon here in Osterville, sorry about that, I woke up a little late, the fourth day of March, 2011, on what many would consider the harbinger of spring, for the walk I just took begged the flowers out of the ground and the fresh salty air, although cool, gave way to ‘hope springs eternal’.  In other words, it is just a beautiful day here on Cape Cod and the Islands, as this day marks one of my dear friend’s birthday, Patty Marsan, from this fine town of Osterville, a town that her father relocated her mother and her two sisters to many moons ago.  Patty’s father, Roland, was a famous photographer here on Cape, and handed that gift down to his daughter who takes some of the best images that were once taken by Roland with his Nikon camera, in the age of “film” and the ‘processing art’ now gone forever, save the memories that were captured by this great and loveable artist who was deeply LOVED by all who met him.  Happy Birthday Patty, I love you! So, here we all are on this eve to the week end, a reality that was created by the first unions in Wisconsin, the “week end” that is, the same place we have seen such unrest for the past three weeks, the ‘mid-west’–the last place you would expect it.  I am sure you have heard all of the horse$hit emanating from Wisconsin’s Governor Scott Walker, other wise known as David Koch’s “pool boy”, expecting a trip out to “Cali” soon, who is blindly taking orders from his employer to strip the collective bargaining rights from that state’s public employee unions.  What has been under reported, however, is the fact that public education is also apparently causing the budgets to be so far in the red, for it could not be the greed and corruption of Wall Street and the previous BUSH administration, following the path of Ronald Reagan, more notably, Donald Regan, former U.S. Treasury Secretary “under” Reagan, who started this downward trend 30 plus years ago.  What has been under reported is the fact that Walker has proposed cutting 900 million dollars from that most vital form of state and local government–PUBLIC EDUCATION.  Walker is proposing taking away the income level restrictions for those families that make well over the amount of cash that the country deems as ‘the poverty line’, thus, allowing rich families to gain the system by taking the proposed “vouchers” and sending their kids to private schools, while the poor children are left out in the cold, with no public school to attend and no chance of getting into one of the new charter schools that are now paid for BY the poor, and BUILT for the RICH.  This is the definition of insanity folks, and if you take a closer look at the whole proposal Walker is spewing, you will realize this is a blue print for the rest of the nation.  Why do you think the ‘fake’ Koch brother, David in this case, seemed so convincing to the “idiot” Governor, sorry wrong state but the notion carries the same weight, who was not only all over the task of “thinking” about placing ‘trouble makers’ in the crowds in Madison, but spoke very convincingly about his networking with equally vile Governors from states like Ohio, where the governor of that state, John Kasich, is presenting his true stripes, as he kisses some more fat, rich, white butt.  This is all so transparent and WILL, in the end, come back to bite the republican REPUBLICORP right in the AS$.  I have no other words than that today, other that GOD’S continued speed to the real heroes of American democracy in action, the WISCONSIN 14! May their shots be long and may they be straight! Have a nice week end everybody and if you see this tree huggin’ liberal, as seen in the image above you, on the streets, take him in for questioning, he doesn’t look like a ‘real American’ to me.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
