The Unbelievable Belief

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:26 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the wonderfully sunny, calm, content island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday morning here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–the 25th day of September, 2015–another fine example of why one should consider vacation plans for this time of year; this secret of both this month and October being both great weather and fewer crowds, allowing one for some serious reflection if one is in to that ‘thing’ more than a few moments out of the year, yes, it seems that our little secret is finally out.  So come on down, we will, as always, leave that LIGHT on for ya!

The Pope brought the house down, so to speak, in New York City yesterday, as the “Pope-mobile”, a Jeep Wrangler convertible with a HALO on top, toured a few blocks of 5th Avenue in the Big Apple, arriving at St. Patrick’s Cathedral soon after and warmly greeted by dignitaries of all stripes, quickly proceeding with the task at hand, ‘Vespers’… It will be on to Philadelphia now where this man of LIGHT will shine again for the adoring crowds once again before jetting back to Rome on Sunday. Men, women and children of all faiths, walks of life, economic situations, you name it, all those “differences” vanishing into thin air, as the unspoken truth embodies a yearning for something most don’t know they already possess.

Perhaps it is the recognition of something that has manifested into human form and had been sorely missing for so many folks for so long–citizens of the US simultaneously being married to the never ending wars, famine, mass migrations, reality TV political nonsense as usual–that there has been some epic shift in the consciousness, the awareness of people and how they are now seeing the world, as it is and how it could improve.  For this Pope Francis of Argentina has really changed hearts and minds all around the world about what is really going on.  Ask a valid question, what has there been lately in this man made world that is so ‘advanced’, what indeed has there been on this planet of constant consumption, to be excited about, grateful about, happy about? Joyful enough to cry out at a crowded church, “…WE LOVE YOU POPE FRANCIS!’?

LOVE incarnate

In the absence of conflict there is only peace.  In the presence of peace there can never be differences. In the absence of differences there cannot be separation.  In the absence of separation there is only one Self–And that is God, and you, and me, And all brothers in all of Creation–One vast harmony of creation and being.  And so it is you must cherish your conflict In order to believe in your small “s” self.  If ever you come to true peace, the peace of God, Then your ego will disappear in a moment, without effort.  And your ego, which you believe to be you, KNOWS THAT.  And so you seek to maintain conflict in order to remain here.  And how do you do that?  BY BELIEVING YOUR CONFLICT BRINGS YOU JOY.

But, if you think for a moment, Do you not realize that conflict is pain?  And when you think about the conflict Of which you are aware in your life, Are you not aware that it is painful?  And, of course, all of you are.  And yet, within the structure of your ego, You believe that your pain is not pain, That your pain is joy.

“How is that?”, you might ask.  You have confused joy with the idea That you can be separate and alone. You have structured this ego, this world, in such a way that you can believe that your are isolated, Alone and weak, a being of frailty and ultimate death.  That is by your design.  And so you have tricked your thinking mind into believing That whatever supports that belief in isolation, The aloneness, the frailty and the eventual death–That whatever supports that belief Is what creates what your are and gives you life.”

And you do know, of course, that life itself and being IS joy.  And so, in your confusion, You believe that whatever supports your ego is a source of joy.  And thus you struggle and compete And claw your way through a war of individual existences, To preserve itself in the face of billions of others.  All for the purpose of believing That in doing so you become more joyful.  And already you have seen clearly in your own mind Without me even telling you.  That of course is not joy.  It is conflict:  “the unbelievable belief”…

“…your freedom, your salvation, and your joy Shall come to you as your realize that Your belief in separateness is indeed unbelievable. And in that awareness, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Those gifts shall be yours as you simply Take that unbelievable belief, and let it go.”

“The Other Voice”

Have a great week end folks!
