Take Heart!
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the soon to be snowy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning, the 27th day of November, 2012, abound with a feeling of Christmas in the air, as we may get our first flakes falling soon… Hope all is well with you and yours and your Christmas LIGHTS are going up, for here on this little sand bar, created 11,500 years ago by the LAST GREAT ICE AGE, are coming forward, as is this country. WE all know that the words of the late, great Jimmy Stewart, from the classic film, circa 1946, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, are true and trusted as yesteryear…“every time a bell rings, and Angel gets his/her wings”. Thank God the silly season, the REAL silly season, of politics are over, for the moment, and WE can all gather together, on one table, under God, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for all. I know that I might sound like a bumper sticker, but, truth be told, it is a sentiment WE ALL hold dear in OUR collective hearts, be you republican, democrat or independent– a sentiment, a something, that was stated so well by a ‘future dentist’ in the epic story of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer in the year of 1964… So take heart, enjoy everyone you meet, for you never know who might save your life someday. It is a mystery, and an honor, to write this little ‘message in a bottle’ to you and yours when I am fully awake, for you, by reading it, saved this humble reporters life.
