As the sun slowly rose this morning above Dowses Beach here in Osterville, Massachusetts, I am ever reminded of a sacred spot called “sunset hill” in Hyannisport. In the image above, you may be able to see a small hill rising above Nantucket Sound. To me, that hill reminds me of why I came back to Cape Cod to begin with. Two of my personal heroes are Jack Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy, not to mention Ted and Eugene and Jackie…”Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”, Jack said so many moons ago. This sentiment always brings peace to my heart, as it represents the true nature of the collective soul of America. We have always been a nation of achievers, leaders, innovators, creators, poets, musicians, spiritual sequoias, writers, builders, lovers and dreamers…and we can be again. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. The cards may be stacked against many, as monopolies reign at the moment, but as you well know–this too shall pass. As we ease on into the holiday season, perhaps this is the message we should all take to heart–“love one another”. Love conquers all. Always and forever…no one can take that away from you, and if you read the words and examine the deeds of Bobby Kennedy, namely his exhausting work for human rights in this country and abroad, you will see the good that existed then, exists NOW and will continue to exist forever–for the light is in all of us and the love is as constant as the sun, which neither sets, nor rises, it simply is. It is not the country that must change, but our perspective of it…when that changes, so will the world. Have a great Tuesday! Peace~ M
