Washington D.C. was hit yesterday with what amounted to a record snow fall in that region, with 31 inches of the white stuff coming down around Dulles International Airport. That storm missed us here on the Cape and Islands completely, as I was coming back from Newport, Rhode Island and Salve Regina College and it was merely a large collection of flurries… So on this Sunday morning, I hope you are safe and warm wherever you are. On this day, America will forget the troubled system of government we currently have, all of the problems facing the nation, the ever growing concern about our environment and the general angst that the American public feels about who to believe and who is telling them lies for their own political gain. No, today is set aside for the spectacle known as “The Superbowl”, or “Big Game” if you have not paid your royalties to the National Football League. I have always been a big football fan, and even though it has become an iconic offering to corporate America, I still love the Superbowl. Today, the New Orleans Saints will attempt to win their first ever Superbowl in Miami, Florida and for the people of that hurricane torn city, my best wishes are with them. This blog has been brought to you by, Exxon Mobile, Goldman Sachs and ADM and the proceeds will go directly…oh, excuse me, just the thought of watching 8 hours of pre-game hype temporarily melted my brain. Have a great Sunday and GO SAINTS! Peace~ M
