“Starry, starry night…” (2.0)

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:14 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the now cloudy, balmy, breezy, beautiful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Third Day of May, 2020, another lazy Sunday on Ocean Street, with more activity not only on the streets, but on the beaches, boardwalks, parks and harbors.  Little girls with their moms and dads walking seemingly without a care in the world,

…at least from the child’s eyes.

For when in our collective memory has there been a ‘time’ like this?  Many exclaim, ‘open back up our country!’, while others say, ‘we must proceed with great caution and care in this new normal’!  Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Putting that never ending debate aside for a moment, consider this:

you never know who you might meet out on a walk, bike, swim, surf, kite boarding adventure or boating trip..  Instead of looking at all we have to ’suffer through’, albeit, some suffering more than other, such as in the working poor in inner cities, and far away places like South Africa, which is on the verge of a Biblical famine, coming soon to America?, no, instead of griping about the inconvenience of not being able to go to your favorite store, restaurant or sporting event/concerts, open up your heart and look at what you already have.

Happiness is not getting what you want, it’s wanting what you have.

So many politicians today don’t get that fact, as the lure of power, greed and corruption loom large in and around the halls of Washington D.C. But most Americans are smarter than that. They have good horse sense when not being bombarded by 24/7 propaganda from corporate media outlets, scripted MK Ultra gibberish that leads those horses not to water, no sir!  It tricks them with an elaborate mirage urging them deeper into the arid desert in the blazing hot sun. Many are taking advantage of this pause to reflect on their lives and addressing what they can do to improve them.  Like spending more time with their children, quality time without the devices, being more creative, feeing their minds to real eyes they can do whatever their hearts, minds and souls will allow.

The possibilities are infinite!

It’s up to them, not ‘them’.

It’s hard to weed out ignorance in a person whose hell bent on keeping his arrogance intact.

Perhaps we don’t know who started this whole fiasco, this global ‘pandemic’, creating scarcity, fear, control and power for those who crave it the most.

But WE will.

Until then, make the most of it!  Get out there on a Kite Board, flying amongst the seagulls, whales, dolphins and perhaps a shark or two, don’t worry, they prefer ‘the other meat’.  Just ask “Dr. Scott’, ICU doctor at Cape Cod Hospital, he’ll tell ya!  Just another hero on the front lines doing a noble job, taking some time off to do just that.

Set free, flying the deep, blue SEA!

Have a wonderful Sunday folks, and a ’starry, starry night!’ Chin up, light will shine again,

be it from the golden moon, a beaming smile or a brilliant star rising over Nantucket Sound on a gentle breeze led, clear mild path, leading US all back to ‘normal’.

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
