Severe Sunrise
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the frigid cold, sunny island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this spectacular day on Cape, Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, Sunday, February 12, 2012, to be precise, with freezing cold sub-zero temperatures outside, bright azure sky and a fierce northern wind, blowing all of that arctic air as far south as Miami Beach. Last night brought some sad news, however, to the world, at least those with two ears and a heart, as the famous soul singer Whitney Houston died suddenly at the Beverly Hilton in southern California. Her death is tragic for so many reasons, but she will be remembered for her incredible string of hit songs in the 1980’s and 1990’s, with “I Will Always Love You”, a hit in 1993, being perhaps the most beloved, as it coupled with her incredible performance, paired with Kevin Costner, in the film “The Bodyguard”, a movie that ironically showed part of what a famous singer’s life might well have looked like during that same period in time. Whitney Houston will be missed, as she is most definitely with the rest of the Angels who sing her praises. I leave the politics to your discretion today, however, should you wish to catch up on the ‘real deal’, check out Chris Hayes’ new show, “UP”, with that very same talented political pundit, only on MSNBC, next Saturday at their new time, 8 a.m., moved up from 7 a.m., as well as Sunday, 8 a.m., for there you will actually gain some insight as to what is really going on with the fun world of politics in America today, circa 2012. Have a good one everybody and will sea you next week, same bat time, same bat channel. PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
