Restoratation, Sanity!
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the great island of Nantucket! How are you feeling this November 2, 2010? Are we ready for some football? On a cold and sunny start to the day here in Osterville, I can answer that question with a BIG YES! I will be heading down to Cape Cod Academy, a private K-12 institution that delivers excellence in education for some of the lucky residents of Osterville and other parts of the Cape and beyond, to cast my vote for Sharron “Angle” of Nevada. Oh, I’m sorry, I must have misplaced my frontal lobe this morning, I meant that I am going to VOTE for anything that does not smell and taste like complete horse$hit…namely, anyone who offers a “d” next to their name. The gloves are off, and I relish the fight ahead, for it will be a fight after this ugly election is over with and we all get to listen to “Billy Bob Boehner” the presumptive next Speaker of the House of Representatives, ’speak’ to the needs of the multi-national corporations, while his buddy, Mitch, “the mouse”, McConnell, the minority leader of the US Senate, will speak to what we all as American citizens are just dying to get done, and I will quote him verbatim–”the number one goal of the republican party after this election is to make sure that Barrack Obama only has one term as President of the United States,” a noble goal, considering all of the problems facing our nation and world at large, yes, we will all get to listen to these weak middle aged men speak out of their other hole–while some of us might just take exception to their blatant LIES, falsehoods, and corrupt practices that are emblematic of what IS WRONG with our current form of government, or the movement therein–corporate plutocracies represented by the likes of MORONIC PUPPETS such as Sharron “Angle”… We, I mean the humorists and real pundits out there, have already said it all. If you don’t remember, please go back a few hundred blogs on my website seacapecod.net and you will see that I do not LIE. NOW, is the time to VOTE, and at 7:35 a.m., EST, here in the little seaside village of Osterville, I plan to do just that. I pray that you and yours will too, and I will offer another update from today’s blog a little later this afternoon… And so, from the glorious dunes of Race Point, to the mighty Lighthouses of Nantucket, I bid you and yours a fair adieu and hope against hope that despite the “avalanche” predicted by many republicans in this election cycle, the war against the literal coup, a corporate ‘pirate’ takeover of our DEMOCRACY, that is taking place (brought to you by, the “US” Chamber of Commerce, Halliburton, Exxon Mobile, United Health “care”, Massey Energy, Goldman Sachs, and Walmart), as I write these words, RIGHT NOW… IS FAR FROM OVER and you can rest assured people like me, Keith Olbermann, Arianna Huffington, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell, Ed Shultz, and John Stewart will not rest and will not yield to the insane rhetoric coming from the mouths of literal puppets, whose intentions are heard through the sad and insane voices of “men” like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, whose words have poisoned and destroyed much of our bretheren, and upon the day the God they pray to arrives, may he have mercy on their souls. PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
