Real Love

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:43 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and blue skied, puffy white cloud dotted, cool, clammy, claustrophobic, very comfortable, BBQ c-c-cookin’ island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this happy Monday morning, The Twenty-Third Day of May, 2016.  And it’s beautiful Monday Bob! You should give it a chance, this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by that ‘Last Great Ice Age’, for who knows how long any of this will last, including this great Republic???  We are, for the moment, broadcasting LIVE from ‘down on the docks’ of Historic Hyannis Harbor, a quaint little port that is all a buzz as this busy holiday week end of Memorial Day nears ever closer…  Soldiers who died in the service of the good ole’ US of A.   Most will mark the week end with traditional BBQ’s, parties, sailing, biking, surfing, fun runs, and getting together with the people they really LOVE…  Next week end also marks the Cape and Island’s official summer kick off.  Lo, the whole hamlet rocking and a light with so many of the good people from all over this ‘big blue spinning ball’ in the vast, empty? Universe coming on down to pay us locals a visit!

Why not come on down?  WE will, as always, leave that LIGHT on for ya!

AHOY!

Memorial day is set aside to remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice.  Giving their lives for a cause that many cannot remember, recall or retrace…  Many still can, turning to drugs and alcohol to combat the horror of what really happened to them while serving their country.  Indeed, many, many a young man losing his life in all of the pointless wars WE have all been subjected to these two hundred and thirty five plus years or so…

Yeah, they were “glorious” were they not?  Glorious for whom? However, the reality is that most don’t give this day a second thought, just another day you may, or may not, get off from ‘work’.  Take a moment and consider the young eyes who left these fine shores for points unknown, meeting a fate that was destined on a gold and diamond chess board, deep and high in the Alps of Switzerland, say Saas Fe? Or something along those lines.  Therefore, when one takes that one moment to give some real love to those who served this country at the highest level, men more noble than those who sent them to war in the first place–”claiming” nobility in the eyes of God–means a whole lot more than one may ‘think’…

Have a great day!

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
