“Pride goeth before the fall”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 1:41 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rather balmy, milky blue skied, soon to be quiet windy and spooky island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this 30th day of October, 2019, a quiet before the storm if you please, indeed a calm Wednesday afternoon here deep within the coyote, bunny filled, blue jay, Cardinal woods of North Eastham, ‘Gateway to The Cape Cod National Seashore”….

Back when this ‘humble’ “reporter” lived in the the great state of Michigan, living on those mean streets of Detroit, this night was termed ‘devils night’, or something along those lines…  Many set fire to buildings now only ancient memories of an urban plight that needs no introduction, only resolution…  “

“We are not at peace with others because we are not at peace with ourselves. and we are not at peace with ourselves because we are not at peace with GOD.”

(Thomas Merton)

Pride most certainly has a factor in this equation;

yet who am “I” to judge anyone but myself.

“Halloween” is a very popular ‘holiday’ here in America, however, as one ‘tricks or treats’ down the avenues of life itself, keep this simple thought in mind…

It is better to give sugar, than bitter vinegar.

Have a safe, spooky, spontaneous, wicked fun Happy Halloween!
