One of the first books my mom and dad gave me when I was a kid growing up in Simsbury, Connecticut was a book about the life of a pond.  I recall the book, as it had a picture of a frog on the front, a big bullfrog, similiar to the ones my friends and I would catch and release, along with turtles if we could ever find them.  One of the things I remember about that was the fact that if I was looking for a turtle in the forest or the ponds that dotted the large forest that was our backyard, I could never find one.  However, whenever my mind was not “thinking” about it, my lack of a turtle, one would invariably walk across my path.  I have kept this metaphor in my memory bank for those times when I am missing a turtle, whatever form that turtle takes.  When I let go and allow life to live through me, while offering no resistance, that turtle walks across my path every time.  Peace M
