personal perspective…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:00 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, humid, warm island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning–the 24th day of August, 2015–a gloomy day out on the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), depending upon one’s personal perspective of course…

That personal perspective is what this 2016 U.S. presidential election spending spree is all about, brought about mostly by the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2010 5-4 decision in the “Citizens United v FEC”, opening the flood gates for special interest monies en masse. Indeed, marking the advent of that big, big money into the electoral process forever until it is repealed by a saner court with a Constitutional Amendment.  The folly of SCOTUS effectively destroys democracy with that little letter ‘d’ brave men and women fought so hard over the centuries to preserve. Corporations now with a voice as loud as that of the great creator of this little blue rock we call home for the moment.  Whoever, or whatever that is.

From the “perspective” of this grand architect (if you happen to believe in that sort of thing), this great intelligence far greater in scope than we ‘humans’ can comprehend, indeed from this perspective, one may conclude ‘it’ finds us all quite amusing, and kind of sad.  What could possibly be worth more than the love you feel for your fellow travelers along this cosmic highway?  Can’t the human race SEA they are all merely reflections of themselves?  When another human being is in need, WE are ALL in need.

This Earth of OURS is in big trouble, warming by the day due to mankind’s blind folly, his insidious greed, the endless thirst for more… All while WE allow the insanity to continue as if it were fiction.

PROFIT over people.

That is the bottom line.

“Think” Globally.  ACT locally.

Have a great week ahead everybody!
