Permit for sleigh? Ahhhh…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:25 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rather, relatively, balmy, overcast island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Wednesday morning, the twenty-first day of December, 2011, another mild one on Cape, here in old Cape Cod Cotuit, ‘where ocean meets wood’.  That dusting of snow we had the other day melted away like Frosty in a hot greenhouse, ‘eh? did he say greenhouse? more of that filthy, liberal, tree huggin’ hippy speak to the environment ‘gain, don’t we have enough to worry about with our party going to hell ‘n all?’. Well, like Superman, we here at seacapecod.net have the ability to turn back the clock, at least two years, to allow for a White Christmas to at least fill the airwaves for a few moments, before they too are whisked away by the overbearing barrage of image and noise that most prominently emanates from the bully bull horn of propaganda horse$hit better known as FOX ‘NEWS”, “bringin’ the crazy since ‘96!” I am just thankful, at this present eight o’clock hour on the eastern shores of the United States of America, that I am not a citizen in Iowa right now, being bombarded by the 24/7 negative advertisements spent by the Romney “pac” (’outside’ political action committee, i.e., big corporate special interests), who have amassed 713,000 dollars for Iowa alone, monies spent, thanks to Citizens United, please Google more on the real reason our democracy is about to go off a cliff, for these powerful political action committees, heavy on the action, tend to sway voters as to who they should ‘believe’ in this upcoming caucus in Iowa, as well as the coming primaries all over the country, leading up to a most pivotal, and monumental I might add, election that will tip the scales of OUR democracy with a little letter ‘d’ one way or the other, for as nature abhors a vacuum, so does a society, thus, if we still truly live in a democracy, logic would tend to dictate it will be up to the PEOPLE to meet their own fate, thus, DECIDE who they want to lead, with most, armed with the KNOWLEDGE of what is REALLY going on, wishing someone, anyone, to lead them out of the desert, a barren, lonely desert that IS this very transparent plutocratic vision that comes in the way of a ‘democracy’ that has been temporarily hijacked, bought and sold.  Bought by big time global corporate powers that see ‘it’, our nation, as a mine, to plunder and pillage at will, all for THEIR PROFIT, leaving it’s citizens dazed and confused, with nothing, in whatever country on the map, leaving those human beings behind, begging for ‘more’, depicted perfectly as such in one of the scenes from the book, play, and film, “Oliver”, where a young boy begs the cruel dispenser of food in a poor orphanage, (Newt?), for, god forbid, more sustenance you and I take for granted every day…  Yes, folks, we do STILL live in a democracy and we still will in the future, thus, it is our duty and privilege to exercise that right and bring forth OUR one voice to call out thuggery, thievery and misuse of power when WE see it, as in the militarized police forces around the country who pepper spray innocent, peaceful protesters who actually have those police officers best interests in mind!  Think about that this Christmas!  To quote my good friend Joe Scarborough from MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”, god bless you guys, quoting, of course, Bill Murray from the classic film “Ghostbusters”, who was meeting with the mayor, not Bloomberg, he would have had Murray arrested again, no, the fake movie mayor who was seeking aid from said ‘Ghostbusters’ crew, Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Rick Moranis, with ‘Venkman’ (Murray) exploding in hysteria, crying out, “dogs and cats, living together, MASS HYSTERIA!”.  Have a nice day folks and if you have a spare blanket, keep one handy in the car, you never know what good it may accomplish to someone who may be cold out there and in need of some random act of kindness! PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
