On a rather warm morning here on the Cape, I bid you a happy Sunday. We sing today at “Our Lady of the Assumption”, and I always feel better after doing so. I had the good fortune of being introduced to music very young in life, second grade, where I picked up the Viola, and studied it religiously, so to speak, for many years. Music is the universal language, knowing nothing of race, gender, religion, politics or anything else that “separates” us from each other. The mysticism that occurs when music is related to a parish or any group is astonishing, as it opens up a portal that takes one out of the mundane that many of us find ourselves in, and transforms us into what we really want to be–even if it is only for a few moments. I hope you find some solace today, wherever you are, and take some time for yourself. Perhaps even listen to some of your favorite music, for music knows no bounds of time, space or circumstance. Have a blessed Sunday. Peace~ M
