Osterville Twinkle

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 9:35 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rainy, windy island of Nantucket! Ahoy!  Welcome back to your Thursday morning, the fifteenth day of December, 2011, an unusually warm one on Cape for a winter day, with some rain moving back into the area, for if it were a normal day in December, in these here parts, Osterville, ‘mini-Palm Beach’, would look like it did two years ago, Main street white with snow… But, what the hell, what do all of these fancy book learnin’ people who call themselves ’scientists’ know about anything anyhow, ‘when we get back the White House and the Senate, we are gonna fix them commie bastard liberals but good, startin’ with roundin’ ‘em all up via this new Presidential power to lock up anyone we might think might be a terrorist see, pushing back to 1930’s Germany all over again, minus all the grizzly concentration stuff ‘n all, ‘course, we reserve the right to torture at will, ’cause that’s the best way to collect intelligence ‘n all, despite what the boys down at the ‘FBI’ say about the whole thing.  We here at the Bush sponsored NSA, under the guise of ‘Homeland Security’, have a pretty good handle on who’s backin’ the corporate global plutocratic vision and who is on the side of feeding starving refugees coming out of war torn, drought stricken Somalia, where tens of thousands face starvation and water depletion everyday (to help, Google OXFAM or savethechildren.org), yes, we are well aware who still beats the drum for more war, as 4474 soldiers lost their lives fighting a war to ‘make America safe’…begging the question, ‘FROM WHOM?’.  Today is the END of a nine year long war that never should have happened.  Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis also lost their lives, with much of Baghdad still without electricity.  The United States of America, and more importantly, the people that make up that title for a ‘piece of land’, suffered greatly as well, as we witnessed a never ending fear based reality, where terror threats ruled the day, orange, yellow, red, the color mattered little compared to the ominous music playing in the background as the evening news shows brought you what they wanted you to see, and more importantly hear, thus influencing how you ‘thought’ about this new military industrial complex exercise, as our nation shifted it’s focus from OUR country, namely rebuilding it and making it stronger, via education, cleaning up the environment, creating new technologies to meet our future energy needs, you know, the stuff China is doing today, dropping the ball on things like regulations, creating false bubbles that made a few very rich, while leaving others, like 99 percent of the ‘American People’, in underwater homes, no jobs, rising food prices, energy prices, and no way out, as we ask these people of America to bail out some BAD actors one more time, while they pay out huge bonuses to ‘talent’, paid out in a RIGGED system–monies that came out of said, Mitch McConnell, republican Senator of Kentucky’s, favorite talking point, ‘The American People’s’ pocket.  What a joke. WE would all laugh if it were not so damn tragic.  Welcome Home indeed that one percent of Americans who actually SERVE our country!  Even though it is not snowing anywhere in the country right now, save northern Maine, in Osterville today, at least on seacapecod.net, it is a ‘White Christmas‘…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
