Olympic Gold.

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:01 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again, sunny island, still rather soggy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this first day of August, 2012, a stunning day on Cape, after quite a storm WE all received overnight, leaving giant puddles on Ocean View Avenue here in this little hamlet known ’round these here parts’ as Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’… I Hope you are enjoying the London games, the summer Olympics of 2012, as the U.S. woman’s gymnastics team won Gold yesterday, along with the great swimmer, and U.S. athlete, Michael Phelps, who won his ninth, a record, Gold medal.  It is interesting, as Michael, seeing a documentary on that great swimmer recently, felt, at one juncture, he did not want to get ‘back into the pool’, what with already having won eight prior gold medals and being world famous and all.  Yet he did, and WON! If that is not inspiring I don’t know what is.  Perhaps some of our political friends could take heed and a lesson from these young men and women, who give it their ALL for the sake of pursuing excellenceignoring success.  Good Luck to ALL of these young men and women from every country around this little blue rock called earth, as well as the special Olympians, who make even more of a mark on this reporter’s soul than the rock stars of the pool, pond or river…  Have a wonderful day and rest of the week.  SEA you here tomorrow–same ‘bat time’, same ‘bat channel’! PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
