Now I SEA!
(click ‘above deck’ to listen!)
Greetings and starry salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the frigid, lightly falling magical Christmas snow flurring, festive, fabulous, fantastic, fun and funny island of Nantucket! A deep gratitude to be broadcasting LIVE from this ‘little cottage in the wood’, in this quiet, quaint, quintessential village of Centerville, playing Adrea Bocelli’s ‘Hallelujah’ all alone in the dark, save the soft glow of four Himalayan salt lamps and a little Charlie Brown Christmas tree, my two Maine Coon cats, Tug and Kalmus, who also play the piano, much better than “I”…
AHOY!
Indeed, it is Christmas Eve, a chilly one at that, The Twenty-Fourth Day of December, 2021, wherein the mysterious workings of God continue to amaze and awe, for it is by being alone, it seems, I’m actually less alone than “I” may think…
“The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.”
(Rumi)
Perhaps that is what prayer really is, quieting the mind’s chatter just long enough to hear the Master’s voice.
Rarely does seacapecod.net, this simple ‘message in a bottle’, inspired partly to one I once loved, and still do, a little letter put in a bottle and sent out to SEA, yes, once in a blue moon do he bare his soul to the world, for it seems a man, this guy, this goof ball, W.H.O. came through a baptism of FIRE, and arrived on the other side, truly seeing the LIGHT he was looking for all along a very interesting path and past, that involved near death experiences, skiing the best the Rocky Mountains have to offer, real eyes‘d ’tis better to give, than to receive, loving deeper than he ever had before, even if she will come no more. Moreover, loving someone beyond measure….,
more than himself.
“Then again called, they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that whereas I was blind, now see.”
(John; chapter 9 24:25)
So, on that Biblical note, I wish a special Christmas Wish to someone I left so far behind in Denver, Colorado, the place I called home and where this crazed ‘reporter’ was born, and hope she finds what she is looking for and lives a long, happy, joyful, healthy, peaceful life, expressing her love she gifted unto me so long ago, LOVE that she has so much to give.
For it seems to me, in the immortal words of the late, great guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughn,
“…you know, I’ve been around enough to know that the one thing we all have in common is the need to give one another our love, and if we forget that, we’ve lost everything. So let’s remember that and get out of this thing alive.”
To all those around this beautiful, seemingly broken world who are suffering, to all those who are hopeless and helpless, to those who have been burned and broken, this one’s for you, a prayer that the Mighty goodness of God himself comforts you today, tomorrow and for the rest of this brief experience we call ‘life’…
May God Bless you ALL!
Merry Christmas’ to come!
Keep the FAITH and the LIGHT;
…may it never, ever go out!
(please, credit the great Andrea Bocelli for the musical genius at the end of this ‘blog’, accompanied by that man in the wild, hoping his song reaches its destination!)
PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
