When one observes nature, as noted in the image above, you can see the abundance all around. November berries being offered by my apple tree, supply food for many species of Northeastern birds of all shapes and sizes. The delicate balance between nature and man has always been tenuous, however, it has reached alarming proportions as the President of the United States wraps up his visit to China and is now back home in the White House. It is a question of the cart in front of the horse, as these berries are a metaphor for us all. We must preserve the planet if we are to survive, taking out all of the bitter partisanship that exists in both houses of congress as well as the nation and indeed the world. Who does not want a better world for our grandchildren? Who does not want peace and harmony in not only their own life, but in the lives of the America we all claim to love? When the rubber meets the road, where will your heart stand when the leaders of the free world meet in Copenhagen to discuss the single most important world issue the human race has ever faced? This is not democratic or republican. This is COMMON SENSE. How can a cart go forward when it is in front of the horse that drives it? Food for thought. Have a great Wednesday! Peace~ M
