Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the great island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this cold and snowy morning, mixed with a lot of even colder rain, here in the little, tiny, tiny town of Osterville, only a football toss from the equally great town of Hyannis Port, home to the thirty-fifth President of the United States, Jack Kennedy and his beautiful wife, Jackie.  Although the calendar says April 1st, 2011, the east coast, especially our brother’s to the north, in the New England states of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, picked up significant snowfall, with Bangor, Maine coming in the winner at 16 inches of the white stuff.  The old standard saying in these ‘here parts’, New England in general, is–‘if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes..,’ proving TRUE once again, as this snow will be turned into water for the flowers before you know it.  The insanity of Libya is still making news this morning, as it has been widely reported that the C.I.A., our national central intelligence agency, is now on the ground in that northern African nation, headed, of course, by a strong man dictator, who may be almost as much out of his mind as presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who has been making the rounds in the media world lately, going from Bill O’Reilly’s no spin zone to ‘Morning Joe’, where he is making his nonsensical bid to perhaps run for the President of the United States of America–a bid that is apparently based on the silly premise that our current President, Barack Obama, was not ‘born in the USA’.  When did Donald start up with the heavy narcotics?  “Your fired!” Cheap shot, I know, but one for the ages, as we all get ready to watch his ‘fabulous’ show on GE’s favorite possession, NBC, called “The Apprentice”.  A show that has all of the feel good moments of “Laverne and Shirley”, combined with the frightening images of people being shot during the French Revolution.  Donald’s simple and elegant style makes him the clear cut front runner in the upcoming 2012 election cycle, for not only does he bring a baboon atop his giant head, but also brings the cool effervescence of a warm summer day, that is embodied in this demeanor, his open mindedness and his overall grasp of the issues–not to mention his capacity to fire someone just as look at them.  Virtues we, “the American People”, truly need at ‘this juncture’, in this crazy, zany, madcap world we all seem to be living in right now.  The republicans and democrats will, most likely, come to some agreement with the vicious fake grass roots tea party, regarding a budget for the fiscal year of 2011, thus, avoiding a government shutdown, although, it will most likely go down to the wire.  The initial budget cuts of 61 billion dollars will most likely be met half way, with an agreement of 33 billion dollars, cuts that I don’t have the heart to go into again right now, however, suffice to say, the corporations will not feel the pinch, as opposed to the poor and the elderly, who will see significant changes to their lives, with everything from home heating oil slashed, to ‘meals on wheels’, that helps the elderly who cannot get food on their own.  It is nice to see bi-partisanship at work is it not?  I pray that you and yours have a wonderful week end and that you continue to not accept those wooden nickels that may be offered to you via FOX NEWS or the like, coming to understand what is really going on with collective bargaining and the systematic dismantling of the middle class in this country–all in the name of the corporation and it’s share holders…  GOD’S continued speed to the good people of Japan, an island nation that needs more than water and food–rather, a good dose of the world’s collective prayers as that country continues to mourn it’s dead and missing, a heart wrenching display of people at their very best, the very best this human race could ask for. PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
