‘New Balance’
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, misty, balmy island of Nantucket! ‘Tis very good to be with you on this 10th day of December, 2015, and it is by all accounts and verified by the image above, quite a gloomy day here on the Historic Hyannis Harbor, but with a ray of sun this morning, as it rose through said fog, with the holiday celebrations right around the corner…
Some of the rhetoric coming from the political reality TV puppet show is becoming dangerously divisive, destructive and delusional, with Republican presidential ‘hopeful’ Donald, “throw him the hell out of here!”, Trump calling for a ‘ban’ on Muslims entering this country. Regardless of who they are and what they represent as a human being. Yes, calling for a whole group of people to be banned from entering these shores of the United States of America. A once proud Republic, now, well, who knows what the scholars will call this beautiful land once the polar shift marks the beginning of yet another great change that does not seem to be slowing down in the slightest, rather, speeding up like the planet itself.
What WE, collectively as a species, have done to Mother Earth is abhorrent and thus, there will be a reckoning down the road. The unsustainable REALITY of OUR activities on this planet during the Industrial Revolution and beyond cannot be ignored any longer. Species of every ‘make and model’ dying daily, never to return (unless of course WE recreate them with stored DNA), as are countless varieties of trees and other plant life that are vital to the balance we MUST strike with our one and only home for the ‘time’ being.
If that balance is not met eventually, this rock will become like Mars. A dry and dead place, where no one–rich or poor–will ever really thrive again.
Make no mistake about it, the bounty of this little blue rock called Earth is precious and should be treated as such.
Enjoy your day!
PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
