Mr. Dreyfuss

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 8:40 am

Top of the morning to you all and greetings and salutations from Cape Cod and the Islands!  It is a cold Monday, although not as cold as the 6 degrees above 0 we had yesterday.  At the risk of being forward, and I would hate to take that risk, I thought I might put a plug in for the upcoming movie, “The Lightkeepers”, starring Mr. Richard Dreyfuss, whom is seen in the picture above you.  One of the scenes in the movie was shot right here at Dowses Beach, in Osterville.  It was my honor to meet this movie great and personal hero of mine, as his work in my first “PG” rated film that I saw as a kid, growing up in Simsbury, Connecticut, was actually “Jaws”, and it must have been that film, the fact that I was still in grade school, I was alone, and aside from the giant swimming monster fish eating people, I fell in love with Cape Cod, and more specifically Martha’s Vineyard, where I spend as much time as I can today…His work astonishes me from films like “Always”, where he plays an intriguing role as a guide from the other side, who helps his love find her way.  That is a lightkeeper.  So a big shout out to Richard wherever you may be today, may God bless you and all of your work and keep the faith!  To whom this may concern, if you love Cape Cod as much as I do, I would highly recommend going to see “the Lightkeepers”… if nothing other than to see Richard Dreyfuss and Cape Cod together once again!  Have a great day!  Peace~ M
