The sun did rise this morning, right on time, and it is always a pleasure to watch it rise above Dowses Beach here in Osterville. The light is on, shining like the brilliant star it is. Are any lights on in Washington D.C.? My friend Keith Olberman, of MSNBC’s “Countdown, with Keith Olberman,” has done a great service for the people of this country, by providing free health clinics in the states where the “gang of six”, who were the architects of the latest health care bill to come out of the finance committee, are currently Senators of–Nevada, Louisiana, North Dakota, Montana, etc. The goal is to relate to the real issue of health care in those key states, to put a face on the problem of the LACK of real health care for our citizens and to step up the debate, bringing it into the light and asking ourselves as citizens of this great country, do we want to continue subsidizing the “health care industry” with our tax dollars, an industry that is not regulated and has become a run away monopoly devoid of any anti-trust laws, or do we want to provide real care to people in need of doctors, nurses and TLC? Keith Olberman has raised over $800,000. for this cause, thus far, and is a hero in my book. It begs the question, how many Senators from the Senate Finance Committee does it take to screw in a light bulb? None, they don’t have any light bulbs, as the budget for said light bulbs, was blown on an all expense trip for the CEO of AIG and his VP’s destined for Bora Bora, where they plan on meeting up with the boys from C street for a “fishing expedition”…stay tuned. Have a great Thursday! Peace~ M
