On a foggy start to the day here in Osterville, I’m sending a message of Hydragas’ and Maine Coon Cats…the Cape Cod Writer’s Conference, the 47th annual, is being held at the Craigville Beach Conference center at the top of “Green Mountain”, a hill overlooking Nantucket Sound a few miles from my home in Osterville. I’m one of the writers attending. I was mesmerized at the talk that David Kirkpatrick gave about the upcoming Plymouth Rock Studios opening up in 2010. As they prepare to break ground in a few weeks, the Waverly Golf Club in Plymouth will transform into the world’s first all green studio, complete with solar, wind and geo-thermal, state-of-the-art digital technology, and the timeless beauty that is New England…you can’t get better than that. According the the President, Mr. Kirkpatrick, of this world class studio dubbed “Hollywood East”, it will be the largest, most sophisticated movie studio on planet earth. From “Forest Gump” to “Trading Places”, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” to “E.T.”, Mr. Kirkpatrick’s movie credentials are as impressive as the studio he will be heading. Here’s to Hollywood! Have a great week end! Peace M
