Hyannis Port skiing…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:11 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again snowy, cold island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this February 8th morning, 2015, a Sunday to be sure, and as I look outside my office window, here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), I notice more snow fell over night, with more on the way, going all the way until Tuesday evening.  Snow on top of snow on top of more snow that will culminate in another possible two feet to go with the 4 feet that has officially fallen at Boston’s Logan airport in the past three weeks.  Apparently Denver was blessed with 68 degree temps yesterday; much of the nation feeling ’spring in the air’, however, here in New England, we will feel the coldest temperatures of the season so far after this system passes us by, those temperatures dangerously expected to dip to historic levels by week’s end.  Stay tuned to your local weather forecast for more details, and give a weatherman a hug!  He could probably use one right about now…

So too in need of said hug could be Brian Williams of NBC News. Brain is under fire on the ‘eve’ of the Sunday morning talk shows coming on in an hour or so, with most not saying much regarding the 2003 blunder he made when telling ‘a whopper’ regarding a little helicopter trip he made while covering newly ‘born’ Iraq War.  Apparently ‘his’ helicopter was hit (when it was not), by an RPG from below.  This story was told again and again until one day, out of the blue, someone called him out on it, stating, “…dude, you were not on my helicopter.”

Sadly, this story won’t go away for Brian Williams, despite working for ‘the man’–i.e. the multinational, global in scale, internationally ‘renown’, extremely polished, produced and sterilized, corporate conglomerate owned media megaphone(s). A scrubbed, highly edited, CENSORED (brought to by, “Big Pharma” & ExxonMobil), ‘voice’ that tells you little, while manipulating your emotions, bringing it’s audience into the realm of FEAR as fast and as often as possible, for the expressly written wishes of said Comcast, I mean media corporate conglomerate…

Much like the whitewashing witnessed in the film “Good Morning Vietnam”, circa 1987–with ‘ole Robin Williams sawing right through the middle of all that bull$hit–taking offense at ‘Tweedledee and Tweedledum’ (the morons revising/editing/ignoring FACTS surrounding the folly of the 1965-1974 Vietnam War; 1.3 plus million lives lost: U.S. troops, allies, North/South Vietnamese troops/civilians)–idiots in charge of what American troops were being fed on the radio back then, a war that raged in the 1960’s and early 1970’s; culminating in American diplomats barely escaping with their lives–the ‘Fall of Saigon’ 1975.  A war that took and took and took until it could not take any longer…  Robin, the late, great Robin, or ‘airman’ in this movie, made a statement to the brass and did something about that lack of transparency and FRAUD.  Namely told the TRUTH on air, a big no no in the corporate world these days, isn’t that right Rupert Murdoch?  You old scallywag you!  Arrgghhh Matey!

Yes, despite working for said “man behind the curtain”, Brian Williams did a good job of bringing the masses to the news (for what that ‘news’ was sometimes really worth in the big picture and all), and vice versa. For he did some intrepid reporting and should not be roundly condemned for simply adding a little fib to an already out of control noise machine, I’m sorry, news conglomerate.  Owned and operated (100 percent), by the .001 percent, “the Davos Oligarchy” if you will, where most news these days is one GIANT LIE, or at least a grand departure from the TRUTH, the big picture that affects US ALL!

So good luck Brian and may the Sunday talk shows, especially NBC, be kind to you!  And to the rest of the world, may you have a good Sunday and a peaceful, prosperous and pleasant tomorrow!

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
