Happy Mother’s Day to all mom’s out there, I hope you have a wonderful day! I would like to say a few words about my own mother, Jan, who is a very special woman indeed. She lives in Connecticut in a little town called Simsbury where I grew up, well, one of the many places I “grew” up. We lived all over the place, west coast, Colorado, where she grew up and lived for many years before marrying my father and living in Ethiopia for 3 years. She is a wonderful woman who always gave her all to her children, fixing every “house” that we moved into and transforming it into a home. She gave of her love always and never questioned “why”, until she finally was able to establish her own home in Simsbury and began enjoying the sweeter things in life, giving once again of herself, selflessly, to her grandchildren of whom she has 4. Those kids are lucky to have her, for I know what a great person she is and how much she has helped me in the course of my life. She has always valued the truth and she never backed away from telling me when I was in the wrong, which was often. I love her with all of my heart and I don’t tell her often enough. If you are reading this now Mom, I LOVE YOU! Happy Mother’s Day! Peace M
