Grey Lady

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 7:34 am

On this Sunday morning a few days after Thanksgiving, I wish you a fair a pleasant one from Cape Cod.  The rains came down in earnest the past few days here in Osterville, as a deep low pressure system gathered strength in the Canadian maritime, pushing 50 knot plus winds ashore.  The lighting of the Christmas trees on Nantucket took place Thanksgiving night, with the boat you see above being filled with revelers of all ages.  The Grey Lady II, as it is known here on the Cape, is a high speed ferry that jets one over to the “far away island” in about 50 minutes.  The destination spot is little known to the outside world, although it is a scene right out of a Dickens novel and should be experienced by anyone who loves Christmas as much as I do…with trees, decorated by the local residents, lining the cobblestone streets of downtown Nantucket.  The event literally transports you into another place in time, a simpler time without technology getting in between you and your fellow man.  On this Sunday, I pray that you have Joy and Peace and above all Love.  Have a great day!  Peace~ M
