Golden Boy
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the now sunny, gorgeous, oddly warm island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Thirteenth Day of October, 2015, a late Tuesday afternoon down here at the old historic Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s). The day started out with blasts of rain and wind, quickly followed up with a mini-heat wave and blazing sun beating down as the flowers that are still holding in this Indian Summer begin wilt in the searing sun…
It is astonishing to witness the GOP in such disarray, ‘…I haven’t felt this bad since we saw that Ronald Reagan film’, (credit the classic slap stick comedy film, circa 1980, “Airplane!”), at this late hour in the Autumn of 2015, only ‘weeks’ before the 2016 elections that WILL determine the fate of this country and indeed the World. Will Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan take the job as the next U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives? Will he bow out instead, looking ahead to a future run for the top job? Who knows, the only pressing issue is relativity and the GOP is quickly running out of that commodity.
Where have all the Golden Boys gone?
Have a nice evening everyone, perhaps tuning in to take a thoughtful look SEA at this past Sunday’s “Meet the Press” (moderator Chuck Todd) interview with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, making a whole boat load of horse sense ‘at this juncture’… Senator Sanders also taking a gander at that most powerful position. His ideas resonate because they are not his own, they were handed down to him by the men who created this Union in the first place.
