Freedom 2.0, or 3.0…?
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the partly cloud, or, if you prefer, partly sunny island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on the 21st day of August, 2012, a Tuesday to be sure, however, it is still warm and beautiful on the shores of Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, and should you dare, please visit our three wonderful beaches, “Ropes”, “Loop”, or “he called me an Orangutan, he thinks I’m his wife” “Oregon Beach” (credit the late, great Rodney Dangerfield for that classic line via the 1980 film “Caddyshack”, also starring of course, his ‘nemesis’, Ted Knight , who played “Judge Smails” and captain of the ‘Flying Wasp’… Yes, here we are, listening to old Akin’s stories about what the House of Representatives have done in their tenure serving this nation, setting up bills to put a road block upon a woman and her own body. Well, sir, apologies don’t cut the mustard and if you want ‘forgiveness’, I suggest you change your ways, and set aside the horse$hit. Aside from all of that nonsense, I am sure we are all getting pretty near the end of this political campaign, one of division, one of deceit and one of “voter fraud”. Of course, the only ‘voter fraud’ comes in the form of the Supreme Court and it’s folly in passing “Citizens United”, a move that has turned this country against itself, against it’s OWN best interest, via the corporate owned airwaves that flood our consciousness on a daily basis–present company excluded. I pray that you all take a good hard look at the FACTS and ignore the the empty rhetoric coming from an empty suit, a suit designed in Switzerland, a suit, by definition, that has nothing to do with you or yours in a country that was founded on immigration, be it Irish, English, Swedish or Chinese, for who are WE to judge where we ALL came from, or where WE are going? Have a good one and be safe out there, keeping an ever watchful eye to the skies, for hurricane season is upon us and this world is gaining water by the second. PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
