Four Seas

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, beautifully cool island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on a Sunday morning, the twentieth day of May, 2012, another stellar day on tap for the Cape and islands as WE all here on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age gear up for some famous “Four Seas Ice Cream”, a Centerville creation, some sailing, some golfing, some (more) biking, some kayaking, some bird watching, some star gazing, some exploring, well, I believe you get the picture…so why not come on down and visit US?  We will, as always, leave the LIGHT on for ya!  I am confident that the fine media journalists, the real ones, you know who you are, will give US the TRUTH this Sunday as to who is doing what to whom in the world of American politics, a nasty business if I do say so myself, but, unfortunately, WE must all understand what is at stake here, namely the word democracy and the concept of one man, or one woman, equaling ONE VOTE.  Suppressing the vote as they will try and do in 34 states is not only UN-American, it is immoral and just plain WRONG.  Many men have died on the battle fields defending that right to vote, including African-Americans in the second World War, where they flew dangerous combat missions high above Germany even though they could not voice their own choice to whom they flew those missions for– namely the Commander in Chief, or the President of the United States of America. The choice for who is right for that job should always come from the gut, and if you and yours believe that a man who truly represents only a mere fraction of our population, via his own words, then, well, vote for that man.  Yet, if you find yourself entranced with a man who reads, “Where the Wild Things Are”, at an Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn with such humanity and grace while making this country better by the day deserves it, along with everything else he brings to the table, i.e. our very fine President Barack Obama, well then, it is pretty much a no brain-er. Food for thought as you digest, “UP, with Chris Hayes”, 8-10 a.m., only on MSNBC, or the equally fine news hour(s), “Melissa Harris-Perry”, from 10-noon, same station, for it IS there you will find out all you need to know to make that intelligent decision come November.  Assuming, of course, your vote has not been suppressed.  Have a wonderful day! PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
