“Four French Hens”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 5:30 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the absolutely gorgeous, Golden sun laden, calm, comfortable island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this “Fourth Day of Christmas”, the Fourth Day of December, 2015, and what a day it is out there on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the ‘Last Great Ice Age’! But not everybody is happy, according to NORAD, Santa seems to be a little pissed these days, as his house has been flooded by all of the melting ice in the region of the North Pole.  Mrs. Klaus on her way to Boca Raton, Florida, that condo underwater soon too.  But old Santa, being a good old boy and all, he ‘ain’t worried none, knowing it’s a hoax?  Yeah, he tried to say something to that mean old Grinch Sarah Palin, former Governor of that great state of Alaska, but she just shouted him down, insulted his character, and shot one of his Reindeer.  Not to worry, Rudolph has made a full recovery and is doing well.  Very, very, very well if you know what I mean…

As the plutocratic horse race continues unabated, because ‘…that’s the way it is’ (credit the late, great anchor, Walter Cronkite of CBS News), and that is the way the powers that be will have you understand it, I must think some of the people in the control rooms of these networks, not to mention the reporters, producers, camera men, hell the whole ball of wax, are a little tired of all the nonsense. The ‘it’ being this hijacked election process, big money in charge of everything anyhow.  But let that not ruin one’s day, no sir, if you really think about it, watching the TUBE is much like watching an episode of the “Twilight Zone” in this early part of the 21st century.  A science fiction/fantasy well written 1960’s television show, bringing strange and impossible and seemingly real life scenarios to viewers, who–if they lived in this year of 2015, about to retire==would know they were in a Twilight Zone.

George Orwell, the late, great author, created a work of genius back in oh, I don’t know, 1949? A novel entitled, “1984″. A masterpiece that was not only prophetic, it did it with some style and pretty much sums up what this reporter is referring to when stating that this election is little more a horse auction.  Certainly not a serious intellectual, philosophical and indeed spiritual process to pick the BEST leader for this American Republic, a democracy in name only.  “Big Brother” indeed.  The one aspect of one’s life (that once cultivated cannot be darkened), that ‘they’ cannot touch is your dreams.

DARE to DREAM!

Have a great week end folks!

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
