February Sunrise

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 9:31 am

And a very good morning to you.  At the risk of sounding like a weatherman, it snowed again here on Cape Cod.  Osterville received about 7 inches of the white stuff, as evidenced here on the Wianno Golf course at about 7 am.  On the short walk today, I spotted a Morning Dove, a Cardinal, a Chickadee, a Great Blue Heron and a Seagull, and a family of ducks on the little stream to the right of this image.  That gives you an idea of how plentiful and varied the avian population is here on the Cape.  The migration of certain birds, such as the Osprey, who arrives in spring, leaves us missing them as we view the empty nests that line the coast.  Most of these structures are built by man, as a free standing platforms, with a 360 degree view.  Peace M
