February Cape hello

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 9:37 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the spectacularly gorgeous island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday morning, the tenth day of February, 2012, another stunning day on Cape, as you look out onto Nantucket sound and yet another sunrise, as predicted by Thompson-Reuters, greeted by the Brandt Point Geese, Blue Heron, Cardinal and other woodland creatures that live right outside of a window looking onto Cotuit Bay, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’… I know that my republican friends, of which I have believe it or not, are having a good ‘ole time at the “CPAC” convention, the ‘conservative political action committee’, an interesting group that meets every year to go over their ‘value’ system, talking points handed down from on high, of giving it all to the rich and stiffing the poor, middle class, minorities and many woman’s groups, yes, I know that rather young demographic, average age of participants in the lower 20’s, yes sir, I know many of those good people don’t like to look at things like FACTS, or admit the earth is round and all, but really, can you SEA this FACT?–WE have had, collectively as a country, 23 straight months of job GROWTH, creating over 3,000,000 private sector jobs, while also agreeing to begin looking at our long term national debt, shaving off 2 trillion thus far…leading to a statement by the man all of the kings horses and all the kings men want to unseat in the worst way, President Barack Obama, “…Tonight, the American Auto industry is back”, a statement that gets at the very core of what Clint Eastwood was trying, and succeeded, I might add, to say at half time this past Superbowl week end.  For where the American auto manufacturing industry would have gone, if they would not have been helped by this President, so too, would the rest of American manufacturing and the overall confidence in an industry that BUILT the middle class in this country, proving once again the republican party is out on the furthest limb–just another FACT ‘the American people’ (credit Mitch McConnell, R-KY) will WAKE UP to come November of this year.  People will begin to SEA the blind hypocrisy, greed and lust for power that has put those American people in the back seat of the bus for far too long, thirty years at least, some might say fifty.  Trickle down economics, what a JOKE.  If men like Mitt Romney and the handlers who are ‘for him’ had their way, the plutocratic vision of multinational corporate domination of planet earth and all of her people would finally be set in that Roman stone, the ‘old Chicago school way of Miltonean economics style’, creating two America’s, one of the HAVE variety and one of the have not, a GRAND CANYON that would never be spanned, unless attempted by a man on a motorbike jumping over the Snake River Canyon…  Have a nice day folks and week end, remembering, to quote our Friend Bill Hicks, “It’s just a ride”… PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
