Earth’s Day!
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny now, calm, warm island of Nantucket! It is the Twenty-Second Day of April and it is ‘Earth Day’, celebrated all over this ’round ball that spins round and round and round…’, or something like that. If you are an occasional reader of the ‘ole Sea Cape Cod, and we sure hope you are, you probably are well aware of how we stand on this whole ‘caring for Mother Gaia thing.’ Plant a tree, pick up some trash, write you congressman? I have no idea what to tell you folks, the Wilderness is just about the best thing one can tap into. And with the way of the insanity of ‘Man’, and all the crap he ‘creates’, going from a five to a ten real quick, my suggestion would be to get out there and ENJOY it before they blow the whole bloody thing up!
Lo, take this to heart well… Preserve it! Love it! Marvel at it! Immerse oneself in it! It is home for the moment to ALL; Home to “All Creatures, Great and Small…” (credit: Author James Herriot, who wrote books about animals and our deep connection to them and nature at large, filled with funny, beautiful, tragic stories of a beloved veterinarian from Great Britain). NOT just the “fortunate”; living in exuberant luxury, more than they really need for God’s sake!, this brief life time at the very, very tippy, “Topsy”, tipsy top of that food chain! Yes sir!
The artist “Prince” passed away yesterday–constant coverage NOW on all the fabled/fabulous corporate media daily $hit sandwiches from hell–and one cannot help but wonder how bad that flu really was? At any rate, may he rest in peace and find that girl with “The Raspberry Beret” up in Heaven…
God’s Speed Sir!
Have a nice EARTH DAY World and a great week end!
PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
