Denali!

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, less humid, comfortable island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this beautiful Tuesday morning here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)!  Coming to you LIVE on the first day of September, 2015 and as one may be able to witness from perusing the images both above and below ‘deck’, one can clearly SEA people actually enjoying themselves, despite what the corporate media would have you believe.

LIFE does happen; especially on little old Cape Cod!

Our very fine U.S. President Barack Obama is up in Alaska at this moment in ‘time’, bringing some much needed attention to the very real, very urgent, and very massive problem of the coming cataclysm known ’round Republican circles as the ‘hoax’ of GLOBAL WARMING!  Indeed, the President touring a state in this union experiencing GLOBAL WARMING more so that ‘the rest of US’.  Of course, as the term implies, this coming cataclysm is planetary in nature, thus, will take a monumental effort on behalf of the world’s leaders if the worst effects of this climate shift is to be warded off for the future generations who are going to pay for all of the excesses, folly, and greed that transpired during the 20th and early part of the 21st centuries.  Behaviors that have wrought havoc and biblical imbalance upon this most beautiful creation of an intelligence far greater than that of this species…

President Obama renamed “Mt. McKinley” (U.S.’ tallest peak ruling in the great state of Alaska at 20,237), to it’s original name of “DENALI”, or ‘the great one’, and hats off to him for doing so.  For as this coming December Paris conference on GLOBAL WARMING convenes and all of said world leaders are in attendance, one could look no further than this ironically named mountain and come to some conclusion as to where the original sin was born.  Yes, it was named after a man who had never been to Alaska.  Named after a wealthy businessman/U.S. President (1897-1901) from the great state of Cleveland?  Ironic because his views were the polar opposite of the next U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, who defended the WILDERNESS with a big stick! Creating all of the wonderful U.S. National Parks and U.S. National Sea Shores for ALL–young and old, rich or poor–to enjoy, taking in nature the way it was intended to be taken in, for many, an experience for the very first time.  McKinley was all about industry and of course that lovely, dirty, dark Industrial Revolution that gave us the gasoline powered engine (oil monopoly; please Google Rockefeller/Standard Oil) and all the trimmings! Fueled by dirty oil, the money began rolling in and turned out to be the smoking gun gifting us all with the carbon choked world we live in today.  Shooting ourselves in the foot by this madness of an oil based economy, creating God like wealth for some, while destroying a planet for ALL!

Have a wonderful trip Mr. President and thank you for at least making note of this epic challenge facing all of mankind in the coming years ahead!  Indeed, challenging everyone to reflect just a little more about the fate of all of the animals, birds, whales, plants, trees and the neatly manicured shrubs!

For as the fate of the Polar Bear goes; so too could go the fate of mankind…

Have a pleasant day!

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
