Cape Hobbits

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 7:02 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the starry skies of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning, the twenty-eighth day of November, 2011, an early one, as the stars are still out in full force at this five a.m. hour, a warm morning on Cape as well, as we expect yet another stunner on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age…  The Sunday morning talk shows went off without a hitch yesterday, with pundits and politicians speaking to the ’super’, of lack therein, committee, and it’s failure to help the people it serves, the ’she turned me into a Newt’ (credit the classic film, ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’) Gingrich surge in New Hampshire, as that state’s Manchester Union Leader news paper endorsed the ‘historian’ over Mitt, ‘corporations are people too’, Romney, with the rest of the mouseketeers falling by the way side, one by one, as the side show of this republican exercise to see who is more to the ‘right’ than the Devil himself goes on and on and on…proving once again, this new and improved Grand Old Party is not your ‘grandfather’s G.O.P.’, rather, an all out culture war against the ‘welfare state’, opting for the ‘opportunity state’, opportunity for the top one tenth of the top one percent~  As tensions in the Middle East continue to mount, with Egypt and Syria being in the cross hairs at this hour, focus on Europe’s debt crisis also begs for our attention, for today’s global market is akin to a mobile one might hang above a baby’s crib, if you touch one side, one part of the mobile, that action affects every other aspect of said mobile, very much making Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, well, you get the picture, very much everyone’s problem–I wonder if the boys down at Goldman Sachs ever thought of that one.  Couple that with Black Friday and consumer confidence shooting the moon, and you are all caught up with world wide events, so don’t bother turning on ‘Morning Joe’, on MSNBC, when you can opt to go out and take a nice walk in the wilderness, taking in all that IS great about this world, for when one is connected to nature and the natural order of things, the more clarity and peace one has in one’s life, and thus a whole lot more LOVE and JOY, for they, like the now global economy, are all inter (and inner) connected.  Although I must say, if you are going to watch a morning show, pick that one over “Fox and Friends”, a show designed to pull the wool over the collective eyes of ‘the American People’ (credit GOP favored talking point to Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell (R-KY)), at least those ignorant enough to actually ‘think’ that crap on FOX is news.  Have a wonderful week ahead folks, dodging wooden nickles along the way, i.e. those offered up by the aforementioned FOX, the republican candidates running for President and anyone who tells you that the earth’s temperatures are NOT going up exponentially…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
