“Cubs Win!”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:15 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, drizzled, raw and ready to rumble island of Nantucket! Great to be back with you once again on this misty and mysterious Thursday, The Third Day of November, 2016; broadcasting LIVE on a dark and stormy late morning, ’sitting on a dock by the bay’ called¬† Hyannis Harbor. We here at Sea Cape Cod wish to extend a big, hearty, healthy and happy congratulations to the new World Series Champions of an American original, baseball, the Chicago Cubs, Hallelujah! The longest drought in baseball’s storied history has ended.

Game seven went into extra innings after a brief, divinely inspired, rain delay, with the fated club of cubs later scoring twice, winning the game 8-7.¬† Much to the chagrin of the Cleveland Indians who had a commanding lead in the series, only to let these underdogs of the ages finally win after a 107 year old losing streak. For it was way, way, way back in the year 1908 that this team won “the show’s” ultimate prize and golden goal.

So to that late, great fabled Chicago Cub announcer Harry Caray, we say this loudly and proudly,

“…the cubs win, the cubs win, the cubs WIN!”

Have a grand slam day Y’ALL!

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
