Chatham’s Light
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the great island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Saturday morning, the fourth day of December, 2010, and as we look to the “chicken crap” of yesterday, i.e. “billy bob” John Boehner’s temper tantrum at a press conference regarding the House of Representatives actually calling him out on his, and the rest of the lockstep republicans, HYPOCRICY, regarding unpaid for tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, while leaving the rest of the 98 percent of working “American People” high and dry this holiday season, especially those who are about to lose their unemployment benefits as they can’t buy a job in this post BUSH era economy–we can all take a much needed break from deciphering who is telling the truth and who is not–RIGHT? Gee, I hope our President gets that message this weekend! Speaking of telling the TRUTH, I was pleased to hear about a little known story coming to a conclusion yesterday in New Orleans, as one of the officers of that police department was indicted on a variety of charges, along with his cohorts, when they willingly killed several black men after Hurricane Katrina ravaged that poor city. The story of the Danzinger Bridge and the brutal shootings that took place there, New Orleans cops playing GOD, gunning down innocent citizens, and then covering it up, is about a compelling story of TRUTH winning out over “chicken crap”…proving that corruption exists in that police department, along with some other police departments, such as the Nantucket Police Department, and bringing JUSTICE to those who act as the judge, jury and executioner of men who should never, ever have been harmed to begin with. I take personal umbrage at these “men”, for I too, as will be spelled out in no uncertain terms, when my book is released soon, was a victim of a brutal assault by a member of the Nantucket Police Department, SGT. CHRETIAN, who will see his day in court as well. There is no doubt that this country has a real problem with brutality and that could not be clearer than in both cases of the New Orleans Police Department and the Nantucket Police Department. We have lost sight, in this great country, of what is RIGHT and what is WRONG, and when you have a small man who is given a little power, well, that is what you get, a man who believes that he is above the law and can get away with murder. So, I invite you to check out the Danzinger Bridge tragedy and realize just how corrupt some of these members of an otherwise good national police force really are, for it does not just happen to black people, and it does not just happen in poor areas like New Orleans, it can happen in one of the wealthiest areas of the United States and it will shock you to read it in “Taking Fog to Nantucket,” for it spells out, in black and white, if you will, the reality of “men” with a little power, who are sworn to “serve and protect”, taking the law into their own hands, when most members of that group can barely spell words right on a police report, check your FACTS NPD, and thus, make it hard to believe that they have ever studied the law, or KNOW anything about it. Have a nice week end folks and remember, it is always darkest, right before the dawn. PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
