“Cat in the Hat?”
(click above to listen)
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the dawning, cold, cloudy, calm, capricious island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Third Day of March, 2021, Wednesday, and what can one say, other than do you want to come out and play?
AHOY!
It seems cancel culture has no bounds, for what it really means is cancelling the human being.
Here’s a little poem from our late author friend, Dr. Seuss, W.H.O., along with his most loved children’s books, has been labeled ‘racist’ of course, even though he is dead as a doorknob, thus cannot defend these insane ‘cancel culture’ freak claims from the pits of hell.
Indeed, Theodore Seuss, “Ted” Geisel, was an American children’s author, political cartoonist, illustrator, poet, animator and film maker. He is known for his work in writing and illustrating more than 60 books under the pen name, “Dr. Seuss”. His work includes many of the most beloved, popular children’s books of all time, selling over 600 million copies worldwide, translated into 20 languages by the time of his death in 1991.
“Green Eggs and Ham” anyone? Don’t you know W.H.O.’s a big, fat scam, ‘Sam I Am’?”
Here’s a little gem hidden in the archives never published, dug up from a 90’s ‘time’ capsule.
Enjoy!
“Dr. Seuss got whacked, and that’s a fact…
now it’s time to act?
What about the cat in the hat?
He just caught a big fat rat!
We must respond to this assault,
for it is most certainly not our fault.
Over the years cultures grow and die,
all in the wink of an EYE.
However, it’s unwise,
to erase a middle class that did indeed rise,
for then we could not surmise,
how history has a habit of surprise…
When one fails to learn lessons from past,
they’re doomed to repeat them ever last.
Cancel Culture echoes mob vandals,
W.H.O. burn books like wicked witches burning Salem candles…’
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter, don’t mind.”
“Think left, think right, think low, think high, the thinks you can think up if only you try!”
“if you never did you should, these things are fun and fun is good.”
“…only you can control your future.”
Dr. Seuss

To thine known self be true, Shakespeare once said, as Romeo bled,
even if an evil “cancel culture” be comin’ after you too!
Have a groovy day yawl!
PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
