‘Calumet’!
(Please ‘click’ ‘above deck’ to listen!)
Greetings and salty salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and grey shingled, gracious, grand island of Nantucket! Happy New Year once again, on this Seventh Day of January 2023, a cool Saturday mooring broadcast from the mid-Cape town of Centerville, Massachusetts,
AHOY!
An Act’ of Congress, U.S., declared long ago, as they were purging the American Indian, that the definition of Wilderness is such (think ‘the wilderness project’ summoning citizens into slave cities cut off from nature, just like the Indian” years prior), so said such ‘Act’ a century ago….
‘Calumet is a French word derived from Latin, those ‘founding fathers’, our ingenious brothers and sisters, the North American ‘Indian’, using the pipe for peace, not war…
“A wilderness, in contrast with those areas where man and his own works dominate the landscape, is hereby recognized as an area where the earth and it’s community of life are UN-trammeled by Man, where man himself is a visitor who does not remain.
An area of wilderness is further defined to mean this ‘Act’ an area underdeveloped’
Federal’ land retaining its primeval character and in fluency without permanent improvement, or human habitation, which is ‘protected and ‘managed’ so as to ‘preserve’ it’s natural conditions….”
So, get used to ‘S.M.A.R.T.’ cities and the like keeping in one an ‘Indian’ reservation for all ‘time’….
“Ore not, you be the Judge Greg!
Again, all the BEST for 2023!
PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
