Blue Sky

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:49 am

It is a truly blue sky kind of a day here in Osterville, as the sun rose early, as opposed to late, at Dowses and I was privileged enough to be there is person.  Hope all is well wherever you are, as the murky waters of health care “reform” continue to be muddied further with our friend, Joe Lieberman (Sen. I CT), collecting donations from the good folks in Hartford.  As Al Gore said last night on the “Rachel Maddow Show”, of Lieberman, “I’m not sure what he is going to do.”  I wish Mr. Gore’s realism was as succinct as his right on targeting of the even bigger crisis facing our country, global warming.  As we come closer to the summit in Copenhagen in December on this monumental issue, it is clear that the United States will not offer anything new in the way of leadership and we will be lucky if we get anything through congress this year pertaining to something akin to a giant hurricane bearing down on the good island of Nantucket.  Global warming is no joke and the further we stick our heads in the sand on this matter, the further we get from a solution to a problem that effects everyone…rich, poor, democrat, republican, white, black, Catholic, Jew, male, female, gay, straight, ignorant or enlightened.  Our grandchildren will wonder what we were doing during the first few years of the 00’s….were we too busy?  What could possibly be MORE IMPORTANT?  Sending some blue sky clarity your way, have a great Wednesday!  Peace~ M
