All Saints
November 1st is considered “All Saints Day” in most parts of the world. To most, that means very little, but to me it means quite a lot. One can learn much in the way of wisdom from canonized individuals spanning the centuries. Although most saints are indoctrinated into sainthood by the Catholic Church, it does not necessarily have to depend upon any particular dogma. Saints live and breathe in every day life and most often are not recognized until they have passed. That’s a shame, for although it is not always glamorous to do the action that it takes to become someone of that stature, it is nonetheless worth noting when people strive for high ideals and principals. I wonder sometimes if that is what ails this country of ours–our collective failure to put enough weight on the individuals who put the most positive spiritual energy into the world around them…making it a better place for us all. So, on the day set aside for the Saints, both past, present and future, I wish you a peaceful and joyous Sunday morning and may the power of Love be with you always. Peace~ M
