AHOY! “I sail Dr. M!”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:25 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, misty, mysterious island of Nantucket! Good to be with you on this Twenty-Ninth Day of September, 2016, Thursday according to the good folks at Reuters.  ‘Tis a quiet day on a little sand bar that ‘time’ forgot, sporting some light drizzle and raw temperatures making for a great day if all one has to do is take another walk in the wild; admiring the Great Blue Heron, the Cardinal, the Snowy Egret, not to mention the great snapping turtles, the whales, dolphins, seals and sharks…

Looking above deck, one can make out the island of Nantucket looming in the headlights of the many vessels that transport one to a place that aforementioned ‘fact’ of ‘time’ clearly forgot.  Before the days of ’smart’ phones and all of the bloody technology that is beyond the common man’s comprehension, including this reporter, this ‘far away island’ felt further than the twenty-seven nautical miles off the docks of Hyannis Harbor. Indeed, less than twenty years ago, the Internet, this world wide web now run by the UN, was merely a puppy.  Today, one can surf the cyber for just about anything under the sun, including a virtual reality tour of this famous and fabulous isle.  Begging the question, “…does virtual reality take more than it gives?  Is one robbed of the personal experience of living if one only visits places in fantasy, rather than in reality?”

Seasons do not affect this great place of wonder and enchantment.  If this humble reporter could offer one nugget of truth today, it would be this:  “take the path less traveled, it will make all of the difference.” (Scott Peck)  For by getting lost, losing one’s identity in every way, is one truly found.

WE are all part of Mother Gaia, not apart from it.  Which is what this dependence on modern day mad tech offers.  It steals your love, light and laughter, hijacking most of one’s attention and affection, creating a Stockholm Syndrome and sleep walking behavior in most who ‘could not live without their I-phone.  Mass hypnosis as those who truly hold the power, move the strings this way and that, effectively putting said masses into a deep hypnotic sleep…,

dreaming about constant consumption, corruption and (predictive programming) crooked roads leading nowhere; save away from true love and redwoods…

So for the LOVE of God, get out there and gather some sea shells on a cold January morn, one never knows what one may discover;

…especially about the nature one’s true self,

becoming one with Divine, Infinite, omnipotent, omnipresent Source energy…

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
