Above the Clouds

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the warm, rainy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the 1st day of May, 2012, a grey day on Cape with some rain expected to move into the region within a few hours from this seven o’clock moment here in Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’.  A good day if one is a duck…as the old saying goes, keeping in mind that no matter what the weather is outside of your window this morning, a few thousand feet UP, the sky is a deep blue and all is right with the world.  On the ground all around that world today however, mass protests, via OCCUPY, are gearing up on this “May Day” to make their collective voices known, calling for a world wide strike to disrupt the status quo of ‘business as usual’, business that has been anything but usual, a business, many of the giant global corporate conglomerates, that is taking much more than it is giving back, pushing the philosophy of GREED to a whole new level, while ‘it’ decimates the environments that sustain human life, animal life and plant life, using the world’s resources like play things and turning this God given beauty into a virtual cesspool of 596 deadly chemicals that are leaking into our precious water supplies everyday…just ask David and Charles Koch of Koch Industries, ‘they’ll tell ya, they just bought property on the good side’… (credit Rodney Dangerfield from the classic 1980 film, “Caddyshack“, also starring Bill Murray, Chevy Chase and the late, great Ted Knight).  Good Luck to all of the protestors out there who are standing up for what is right and what is most clearly wrong in an ever growing world that needs to address it’s overall needs, needs of the many, outweighing the needs of the few, the very few.  Have a nice day and remember that a corporate owned television station like FOX “NEWS” is never, ever going to give you the straight on what is up, you must mine for that TRUTH yourself.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
