‘A three hour tour’…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 9:31 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the warm, sunny, inviting island of Nantucket! Very good to be with you and yours on this Sunday, January the eighth, 2012, a stunningly gorgeous day outside on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age.  Welcome aboard! The Grey Lady cat you see above you will be taking you on a journey far away from where you current(v)ly reside, for in less than an hour from now, should you choose to accept this ‘mission’ and turn the channel to MSNBC, or NBC, whichever you prefer, on your electronic device of choice, and tune into yet another republican debate, to which this humble reporter from seacapecod.net has not had the time to review last night’s performance of yet another one that was on at 9 p.m., way past my bedtime, therefore, most of US will be in the dark as to what was discussed–tuning into a debate that will most assuredly enlighten all of our souls on this dark and cold winter’s day…  So put on your life vests as we climb aboard this ‘three hour tour to a plutocratic hallucination/reality of a remake of the dark Orwell film, “1984″, and back’, hell and back if you will, listening to these grown men go on and on about how they will ‘fix’ the country, bringing back the ‘pride’ and the, oh god, I think I am literally going to be sick, excuse me, false alarm, OK, where were we?, oh yeah, ‘home of the free and land of the something or other, I get it, let’s get back to the strategy of a Karl Rove, who single handily gave US George W. Bush and the horrible debacle that WAS his administration, yes sir, that old strategy of dragging someone through the mud, demonetization, seeing how successful it was on John McCain in 2000, as well as the former Governor of Texas, Anne Richards, who was beaten by a very green and pretty dumb George W. Bush in 1993, wherein Rove gave Bush an index card and told him to ‘follow the script’…and it worked, yes, by all means, let US spend our Sunday watching THAT!  So, when you get through throwing up overboard this fine vessel of the sea, ‘the Grey Lady’, bound for the isle of Nantucket this ‘morn matie, keep in mind that, in the immortal words of Bill Hicks, “It’s just a ride”…don’t take it all too seriously.  Have a nice day folks and may the divine power of creative intelligence, or ‘THE FORCE‘, always be with you and yours!  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
