Sea Cape Cod by Michael Mosier

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the wonderfully cool, breezy, sunny island of Nantucket! After a deluge of rain overnight, thunder and lightening thrown in with no extra charge, the Cape and the Islands are sparkling today with a refreshing northwesterly breeze flowing in from the Canadian Maritime, or at least I think that is where it is emanating from–as this Thursday, the 16th day of August, 2012,  is shaping up to be a good example of why you and yours should come on down and visit US, for WE will, as always, ‘leave the LIGHT on for ya!’… The politics of nasty continue on in this most important Presidential election scheduled for November 6th, 2012, a contest pitting Mitt Romney against our fine President Barack Obama who has done more to take this country forward than any President since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The stakes could not be higher, as Medicare, and more importantly, at least in the short term, Medicaid are on the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ chopping block, not to mention gutting regulations for the big polluters out there, i.e. Exxon-Mobile and their fracking for profit model of attaining natural gas via 596 deadly chemicals no one knows about, just ask the good folks of Rifle, Colorado, they’ll tell ya!    For there is no doubt that to take more tax breaks from those who can most afford them, in order to ‘balance the budget’, or deficit rather, a deficit, by the way, that was a hangover from the previous administration, is simply insane.  Or immoral, take your pick.  For how can one be a true ‘Catholic’, or ‘Christian’, and snub the words of the man they claim to follow, Jesus himself, when he said these simple words over 2000 years ago… “what you do to the least of me, you do unto me…”.  I don’t know, but I do know one thing for sure, the American public is not stupid, nor will they fall for these voter ID bogey men antics, for that is 2000 Bush V. Gore all over again….  Back to the Future?  Hopefully, we have gone above and beyond that nonsense.  Have a wonderful day and SEA you here tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel!
